I'm doing a trip south that requires a fuel stop around Grand Strand NC, wondering if anyone has any fun spots they'd recommend stopping, ideally restaurant on the field and cheap avgas! Thank you.

Definitely stop at CRE- Grand Strand Aiport in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Ramp 66 is a very nice FBO, and AVGAS is reasonable. They will give you a new courtesy car for an hour to go get lunch, or you can take a short walk to get sandwhiches or fast food. Kids can play at the Miniature Golf on the corner, time providing! Spectacular views of the ocean on takeoff and landing!

CPC used to be the lowest priced avgas in the area. Now it appears to be Ocean Isle Beach [www.airnav.com]. There are several restaurants and a put put golf course on the other side of the cause way. Where ever you stop have a great trip.
