U can congratulate mt with buyin of my first plane. Well, it's Piper 28-140 '73. Total time is 3200H, StoH 1100H. My question is: I found engine belts in quite bad condition. Who can I ask to order them in US or Europe, to send it to Moscow.
The belt that drives the alternator is a Piper part number 452-541. Piper purchases the belt from Gates and then marks their par number on it with a white pen.
Gates part name 9335 Green Stripe
Gates part number 87019335
The 9335 belt is availbale from many automotive supply companies here in the US. You may have a source near you that can order that belt. I buy mine from NAPA.
If you need parts and service manuals for your airplane, many are available free at [www.bomar.biz]

Thank you, Bob. Very useful link. BTW, Pipers become popular in Russia. Why it's so 'new' - it's simple. We have huge cusoms rates for imported planes in Russia. I guess such plane costs twice cheaper in US.
That bomar site that you recommended is outstanding. I have been trying to obtain a piper parts catalog for years....much thanks!! The download is great.
Yash, just curious, what part of Russia are you in? I have been in Russia a few times in the past, both during and after the Soviet Union years. How restrictive is flying there now?
If you can't find a belt there in Russia, post your address and I will take a look at shipping you one. Do you have FedEX or UPS there? I have never tried to ship anything to Russia, but this will give me a learning Opportunity.
