I will soon be in the market for a fixed gear six place airplane. I currently own a 86 archer II. Question is how many fixed gear saratogas were built and what years were the built. I can't seem to get that query in the FAA registry. I am interested in late 80's and early 90's. Where can I get this data? Cost of the 2003 and newer 6x's is a deterent.

Go the the FAA web site and search aircraft based on model:
Piper PA32-301
It returns 6 pages of 'Mfr/Mdl Code' and for each code, a list of states and number registured.
You may have to figure out which model codes were used for the years you are interested in.
