I've seen my avionics shop use a long thin allen wrench to loosen and then extract my G430. Clearly a long one is required, because I tried to use a standard sized 3/32 and it wasn't long enough.
Any ideas where one would procure such a thing? I did a web search but I couldn't find anything.
Jeff I had one that came with my ACK ELT and works great on all the radios. Has a handle and about six inches of allen wernch. Might do a search of elt assessories. Try this site. [hand-tools.hardwarestore.com]
