Did anyone successfully install an EDM 760 with the optional Oil Temperature and FF on a Turbo Seneca?
I’m looking for more info on the location to install the Oil Temp Probe from JPI on the Continental L/TSIO 360 engines.
The documentation from JPI doesn’t look accurate. Interesting since it’s STC’d for the PA34-200T…
I’m looking for hints and pics.
Also does anyone have pictures of the Fuel Flow transducer installed on engines that have the optional Piper electric primer system?
I have the EDM 760 installed on my 1980 PA-34-200T. It works great! Call JPI and ask them where to mount the oil temp probes. They gave my A&P two possible options. I also have the FF installed with the optional primer system, but I don't have pics. JPI should give you all the info you need if you don't see it in the docs.
We were not able to install the JPI’s optional oil temp probes on a Piper Seneca II that uses the Continental L/TSIO 360.
This makes me wonder… as the JPI EDM 760 is supposed to be STC’d for installation on this particular make and model.
The available port on these engines sits behind the propeller flange an has about 1 ½”
clearance and less than a 1” if the de-ice ring is installed. The probe needs about 2”
