I recently purchased an '82 Dakota with a new interior. The left seat lap belt was installed backwards making the shoulder strap non-effective. It attaches to the buckle side on my left rather then accross my shoulder to the right side. Checking out the seat belt anchor point, it appears to attach with a single bolt. Is there more to it than just sliding the seat ahead, removing each bolt and flipping the sides around? Just thought I'd check before I worked on it this weekend.
Brett there is a little sleeve/bushing that the bolt passes through. Be careful when you remove it as the sleeve likes to fall out inside your side panel. When you unscrew the bolt, don't pull it our of the belt - bring them out of the mounting bracket together. You'll see what I'm talking about.
