The oil quick drain is usually listed/approved for the engine. Check Aircraft Spruces website for the engine installed on your airplane. I do not know of any engine that there is not a QD not approved for...
Yes, I replaced the oil pan drain plugs with quick drain plugs omn my 1980 PA-34 last year (after ordering the wrong size quick drain plugs twice!). I will look tommorrow and get the name of the company and the part number for you.
Ok here you go. The company web address is www.saf-air.com. Their telephone number is 734-522-8360. The model/part number for the TSIO 360 engines is the S6250. Hope this helps.
Keith, that selection (S6250) does not look right - its too long, there is very little clearance between the engine and cowl down there. The saf air catalogue lists F62 for the TSIO 360 which looks right but not the same as the factory part. The factory one needs a tubue to push into the inner ring, the saf air looks like iy=t has a screw on fitting? Don
The quick drain is nice but with out a access door for the drain and a access door for the filter, on the Seneca II, the drain servers little purpose since the entire lower cowling must be removed to change the filter. Does any one know where these access plates may be obtained?
