I have a 1966 Cherokee 235 which I love. Unfortunatly my kids keep growing and the rear seat is getting cramped. I have hear of a bucket seat conversion to the dakota rear seats.
1. Is there an STC that someone is aware of?
2. Does this provide any relief in the back seat leg room over the stock bench seat?
I know the dakotas are stretched but I really don't want to sell my plane and buy a newer or bigger plane because of this one issue.
There is no STC. You would need to do it by 337. It does not increase the leg room over the bench seat, but does increase convenience. You will have to construct a wooden floorboard that is very approximately one inch longer fore to aft than the floorboard from the donor plane.
