I was talking to a retired IA/AP last night and he said when he had a flight school, he constantly had problems with sticking valves in the Cessna 150s using the 100LL. He claims that after he started adding a can of AvBlend at each oil change, the valve sticking problem virtually went away.
Thanks to everyone for your input. With the acception of Keith above, nobody can claim that the product hurt their engines. I think I am going to give it a try at the next oilchange (esp. with winter coming). I've spent money more foolishly before. If anybody has pre and post oil analysis results, I would be interested.
Thanks again,
Ken
Doing the same...have just over 50 hours on a new engine, have only 1 oil analysis to compare to, but will give it a shot for the next 3-4 oil changes and see if any difference in the analysis.
I ran my first engine with just Aeroshell 100 and always had clean oil filter and suction screen at oil change. During the overhaul they found the cam had a couple of lobes worn down. At overhaul I used Avblend, and added it every 100 hours for a while, and within a few hundred hours started to find carbon chunks in my oil suction screen. The engine ran great, had excellent compression. Just some carbon chunks in the screen. As the engine accumulated hours, just before I sold it with over 1100 hours, the carbon was more and more noticeable, but it never seemed to affect performance. Peeking under the valve covers showed a very clean top end. My 2 ct.

For additional "Real Life" test results I urge you to check out our updated website. It has more data than the Shell, Exxon and Phillips websites combined.
Camguard is now certified!! Be sure to check out the Certification Engine pics.
