Guidelines for Piper Owner Forum Members
The rules will help you gain an understanding of how the Forums operate, and what is and isn’t allowed. Familiarize yourself with these guidelines to get the most value out of the discussions.
Use Good Judgment:
These forums offer support, empowerment, education, and entertainment. Users are solely responsible for their posts, so use discretion when weighing the value of information found in the forums.
Agree to Disagree:
We encourage an exchange of opinions. If you disagree with someone’s post, challenge it respectfully without attacking the individual. "Flaming" and insults, however, won’t be tolerated, and will be removed.
Keep Personal Information Personal:
Never post any personal information (phone number, email address, mailing address, etc.), and never ask others for their personal info. Posts requesting personal info will be removed. This includes, but is not limited to, communications that ask for personal information submitted via email, mail, telephone, surveys, etc.
Keep Your Posts Clean:
Forum posts that contain harassing, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexual, abusive, hateful, or otherwise unacceptable communications and/or images, including messages that condone illegal activity, will not be tolerated and will be removed.
No Forum Clogging:
Don’t waste our bandwidth by posting junk, or posting the same message repeatedly. If you notice others clogging the forums, be a moderator’s pet and tell on them.
Don't Post Commercial Messages:
Commercial/promotional messages are not allowed. Our moderators can and will post links to outside resources if we feel it helps the community. Commercial vendors contact sales@piperowner.org for advertising opportunities.
Own It To Post It:
POS is not responsible for posts that violate copyright law. Let’s keep it simple by not posting copyrighted information without the express written permission of the copyright owner (crediting the original source doesn’t make it OK). Ultimately, the individual poster is solely responsible for any violations of the copyright, trademark, trade secrets, or any other personal or proprietary rights.
Off Topic:
Moderators reserve the right to remove off-topic posts, or move them to more appropriate area of the forums.

These are the same guidelines the moderators use to review posts. Posts found to be in violation of any of the above will be deleted. POS reserves the right to remove posts at its own discretion.

Hi, i have posted some info about stripping and resealing fuel tanks, that is now FAA approved and it keeps getting erased. Is there a way i can get this info out to your people?

Why can't I log into the a/c specific forum??? I get an error message that blocks my entry.

I guess I have been banned from the moderators pet list.
over the past several days I have posted replies to several threads but they dont show up. I have also noticed that when I type in the message as I am doing now and click on the post button it takes a rather long period of time to get an indication of message recieved. However going back and looking for the message has in most cases been fruitless. it acts a lot like it did when I was on dial up but I am on hispeed now so that shouldnt be the issue.

I'm a new owner of a 1972 Cherokee 140 and a new member to this site. We are annualing the plane and found there is no 337's for the previously installed Madras Super Tips,a taped Aileron and Stabilator gap seal and a wing root fairing. How can I get the paperwork staightened out so we can proceed with the annual without removing all these modifications.The STC for the tip is STC# SA549NW, the gap seals may be Arthur Mattson STC# SA470CH but I hav no clue on the wing root fairing. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to delete a post. I see after the fact that I posted
in the wrong section and put in an email address. I should have read the rules FIRST... Just wondering if there's a way to correct my transgression.
