Anyone stayed at the Staniel Cay resort? We are scheduled to stay there this year and looking for opinions. We usually hit a different place each year, still looking for the perfect spot.
Previous trips have been to:
Cat Island - Greenwood Inn
Cat Island - Hawk's nest
Eleuthera - The Cove
Andros - Emerald Palms

I like having the landing strip close with easy access to good snorkeling. Any advice welcome.

We fly our barron/was bonanza to Staniel Cay every summer. This is one of my favorite places in the world. We always stay at the club there. We fly from south MS to Ft Lau. fuel up then on to Andros, then on to Staniel Cay. Call the club house on your radio during approach and they will send a pick-up truck to get you. You can also call them on the payphone after you land. We are going in July. Be sure and rent a boat to run around in. You can also call Sandy Gray and he will take you to the Marine Land and Sea Park. It is worth it! Have a great time.

I have been to staniel few years ago, and rented a cottage at Compass Key. (few miles by boat)Awesom.
The first time we rented a house at Staniel but it was so so.

You should try Crooked Island some time. That is some remote spot you will love.
