There has been some discussion on tank dipping on another thread. There is an already precalibrated Dipstik for many Piper short wing model's tanks available from Dipstik Fuel Gauges. The ad runs in the Piper Owners magazine each month, the website is www.dipstikfuelgauge.com and can be found readily on ebay by searching "dipstik". They are very accurate and economical with your N# included on them. There is also available a safety ring on a short lanyard to prevent accidental dropping of the Dipstik into the tank.

G'day All,

My wife and I moved out to America about 2 months ago from Australia. I received my A&P qualifications just a few weeks ago and to celebrate I bought myself a great little TriPacer in need of some TLC.

It was metalized in the sixties and upgraded to 150 HP, TT on the aircraft is 1899 hours. It has 450 hours to run on engine and prop, also has new slick installed and a the carby was over hauled less than 100 hours ago.

I have some pictures of the aircraft for those who are interested at http://www.lovemoore.net/lovemoore.net/Tri_Pacer.html I will be updating it every few weeks with the progress on the project.

The aircraft sat for nearly 8 years with out being flown so I am currently in the process of given it a thorough "looking over"!

I am interested in hearing about any suggestions for upgrades, common faults to look out for or anything people want to share with me about the Tripacer's.

Also looking for were I can get myself a set of new wing struts????? Any ideas????

I thought I would take the time to introduce myself to everyone here as I just joined the forum and I am looking foward to getting to know some of the active members using it.

Cheers
