You should also mention what model year and who/when overhauled the engine.

1975 Arrow II - Buying Light Twin Must Sell - Price Reduced

Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a 1975 Arrow II with an McCauley three-bladed prop, an Garmin 430 GPS, Garmin 327 Transponder, wing landing lights, Medco-Air wing tips and much, much more.

I have owned the airplane for more than a year. I bought it to complete my instrument training and to log complex time.

During my ownership as an A&P/IA and private pilot I've replaced or repaired the following items. Note:

Repaired:
Altimeter
Landing Gear actuators (repacked)
DME
KX-170B with G/S

New
Panel light rheostats and transistors
Bogert metal battery box STC
Gill G35S battery
Battery diode
Landing gear up & down relays
Light weight starter
Starter solenoid
Vacuum pump
Master battery & alternator switch
Two piece fuel injectors
Mixture cable
Hydraulic power pack (landing gear motor)
Hydraulic shuttle valve and spring

IFR certification due 7/2011

Annual due 10/2010

Engine is on oil analysis program and burns 1 qt approximately 8-10 hours of operation.

Note: Anyone who knows anything about Piper Arrows understands both equipment/parts and labor cost associated with the aforementioned repairs and accessory/component replacements. If you want a solid Arrow II with the longer fuselage and wings which is safe and mechanically sound and a great IFR platform at an reasonable cost then this is the airplane for you.

The airplane is presently advertised on Trade-A-Plan at $52,500, but for Piper Owner Society members I will accept $50K. I encourage you to inspect the airplane however based on the aforementioned information the asking price SHALL remain at $50K.

Why am I selling the airplane? Because I have a unique opportunity to move into a partnership on a light twin here locally, but must sell the Arrow inorder to move forward.

LoPresti Speed Merchants employ the same high quality fiberglass and vinyl ester resin manufacturing process to construct our replacement fairings as utilized in our speed modification kits. The finished parts are stiffer than stock Piper parts or other vendors replacement fiberglass parts, more durable and UV resistant, and do not display the shrinkage problems of lower-cost resin systems. Shrinkage of polyester resin parts contributes to the surface cracking and twisting (or warping) common in other vendor’s parts. When you need new fairings, why not treat your aircraft to the best – LoPresti Speed Merchants replacement fairings. These are PMA parts, no STC needed.

We sell fairings for PA28s, PA32s, PA34s, and PA44s.

Our fairings include dorsal aft and forward; upper and lower tail cones; vertical fin cap; and stabilator tips. Please check out our webpage on fairings www.loprestiaviation.com/replacementfairings.htm

If you would like a quote for your Piper, please give me a call and see what kind of deal I can give you.

dct, do you work for Powertow, and if so, are you in a management position? I ask because I have a unit that was made in Inglewood Ca. that I understand was being made by Powertow in it's final days of production. It has a "Turntable/ Lazy Susan" arraignment that captures the front wheel by "driving" the unit into the plane while the plane's parking brake is applied. I buy every one of these I can find and resell them at a profit with absolutely no difficulty. Several years ago, I asked Powertow why they discontinued this design and was answered with "As a response to our customers changing needs". I didn't bother responding but I can't tell you how many times a week people ask if I have any more for sale and all I have to tell them is "I can add your name to a very long list if you like". I can't imagine what customer needs are being addressed but if I were in a position to bring this design back to market I would do so and have to say I think it was a mistake on the part of your company to discontinue it.
